As a native of the Boston, MA area, graduate of Norwich University and a Southerner by choice. Scott’s interest and exposure to communities and commercial buildings with historic significance made his construction business services and Charleston welcome an immediate success.

Under Scott’s leadership, Dow, Inc. has developed a diverse client base with projects throughout the Charleston Historic District, The Battery and the Old Village of Mt. Pleasant.

For many years Scott has been actively involved in and has supported the efforts of the Low Country March of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity, Birds of Prey, Medical University Of South Carolina, Charleston Intercity Revitalization renovating 13 low income homes on Meeting Street in downtown Charleston, a member of the Hibernian Society, The Partridge Society and on the Board of NUCLEUS since 2005. Past Executive Director of Patriots of the Lowcountry, a project offering support to wounded veterans.


William McGill Woodward, Jr. "Woody" - Senior Project Manager


Bill Woodward is a native Charlestonian who has spent a majority of his life in the lowcountry. He is a graduate of The Citadel class of 1991 with a BS in Business Administration. After graduating, he was commissioned in The United States Army. He spent three years in the Army including one year in the Republic of Korea, he is a graduate of US Army Airborne Training, Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, Field Artillery Target Acquisition and Survey and Northern Warfare Training.

After the Army, Bill began his career in construction. He began as a plumbing manager for a large mechanical subcontractor and began his background in plumbing, HVAC and electrical. In 1996, he opened his own construction company building homes in Greenville, SC and Charleston. In 2000, he became partner in a development company and developed a 97 lot subdivision on James Island. After 2008, he began work in commercial construction building new structural steel offices and retail space and acted as assistant project manager on post-tension structures such as hotels. He has extensive experience in commercial interiors projects, commercial structures, residential development and construction.

Bill has an unlimited general contractor’s license in the State of South Carolina, he has also had a SC homebuilders’ license and a SC real estate license. Bill joined the Visual Consulting team in 2015. His passion for and knowledge of residential and commercial construction are vital to serving our customers’ needs.

Bill happily lives on James Island with his wife, Kristen of 20 years, his son, McGill (16) and his daughter Susanna (13). He is currently serving as president and current board member of The Stray Dog Society, a non-profit organization supporting The Citadel.


John Gentle - Operations Manager & IT

John Gentle is the operations manager for Dow Inc. where he oversees the daily business of the company.

John works with the ownership and staff as well as subcontractors and vendors on multiple projects.

He also takes care of HR and IT for the company. John has worked in the customer service arena for many years and has lived in Charleston for over 20 years.


Luther Ramsey - Project Manager

Luther has 40+ years in the construction industry, starting with 10 years in the Architectural and Engineering field as designer-draftsman. Second phase as an Estimator and Project Manager within the General Contracting arena.

Luther has been associated with Dow, Inc for the last 8 years with an emphasis on Design Build and Bid Build. Luther is a graduate of Memphis College of Art, BFA and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, MFA program.

Luther is a Licensed General Contractor of South Carolina, unlimited rating and has been a member of the Design Build Institute of America; attending various seminars.


Leila Molony - Property Manager

Originally from Baltimore, MD, Leila moved to Charleston, SC in 1998. After graduating from the College of Charleston with honors in Historic Preservation and Urban Development, and Political Science, she continued to follow her passion for home preservation and maintenance in the Building Construction Trades program at Trident Technical College.

Leila spent six years managing and maintaining properties in Historic Downtown Charleston, on exclusive islands such as Kiawah, Seabrook, Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island and on private islands such as Bailey’s Island and Jeremy Cay. She also went on to become a licensed South Carolina Realtor.

Experienced in both the maintenance/construction aspect of high-end property management, Leila looks forward to offering comprehensive home care plans, backed by a full-service licensed general and residential contracting company and equipped to handle basic maintenance, preventative maintenance, remodeling, and repairs, to discerning clients.

New Construction - Residential & Commercial

Scott’s “one on one” approach to individual projects has given Dow, Inc. the opportunity to build new homes and commercial properties in Hilton Head, Beaufort, Charleston and throughout the Low Country. On the commercial side, the Company has been a part of the development of residential care facilities, local Churches, light industrial space, commercial up fits and numerous renovations and remodeling projects. The Dow staff also provides limited repair scope services to past clients and their affiliates.

Visual Consulting, LLC was founded by Scott Dow in 2002 in response to the needs expressed by clients for Construction Forensic Assessment. The company is an autonomous affiliate of Dow, Inc., offering an experienced professional staff assessing construction failures, improper and or insufficient work process, and testing services in support of attorney/client concerns.
